Testimonials

We receive many letters from the families we've served, thanking us for our caring ways during their time of loss. Their words warm our hearts, and speak to you of our professionalism, compassion, and the true value of the services we provide.

My son, Clarence Thomas (Tommy) Wilbourn had services conducted on Oct 11 at Limestone Chapel. Bill and the other members of the staff were invaluable in our time of grief and mourning. They were all professional yet caring; informative, to the point, but compassionate. After the arrangements were made, I left with a feeling of peace knowing my baby would be taken good care of by loving people. I can't thank the staff enough for understanding our bewilderment, being so patient with our questions and phone calls and leading us through the entire process with compassion and heart. I will never forget your kindness to us.

Before my mother passed away, she told me & my father to use Limestone Chapel. Following her wishes, we chose them and were very pleased!! Doug Fields, and the entire staff, showed the utmost kindness, courtesy, and professionalism in handling every need & request we had for my mother's service. The entire staff at Limestone Chapel made a very stressful time so much easier for us.

When my father Charles Owen Sr passed away Limestone Chapel handled his services. I couldn't have asked for a better more caring staff. Kenny, Jimmy Greg, Ladon and Jerry are wonderful caring people and I am so please to have had them work with my family. They impressed me so much I now work for them. :)

My father, Billy White Davis, passed away unexpectedly on 2/9/2020. We have not lived in the Athens area in 45 years and currently reside in Georgia. My Father’s final resting place was to be in Athens. Arrangements had not been preplanned. A family member reached out to Limestone Chapel and then I began to make the arrangements. Kenny Blythe was so helpful. He arranged for our local funeral home to do what was necessary for Limestone to be able to pick him up in Georgia. Once my Mother and siblings arrived we picked out the vault and casket while Mr. Blythe checked on insurance for me. He was attentive to our needs. We were able to plan my father’s funeral with ease. It was a beautiful service and my family and I agree that Limestone Chapel is a wonderful place to take care of your loved ones who have passed away. They were all nice. Especially Kenny.

After the sudden loss of my Dad, Cecil W. Smith, we were devastated. We were from out of town and didn't know where to turn. I got on the internet and just picked Limestone. They say God puts people into your life for a reason. Doug Fields was that person. He took care of everything with the utmost professionalism, compassion, and love. Thank you from the bottom of the Smith Family's hearts for making the most difficult time in our lives less stressful. Everything was just as we had requested and you went above and beyond to make sure we were able to remember my dad with love, tears, and memories filled with laughs. I am sure my dad was smiling down on all of us. Again, thank you for all you, and the staff at Limestone, did for us and the memory of my dad.

I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful job that was done for my mother, Elizabeth Mabe"s service that was held yesterday. the staff instructed us what we should do, these times it is difficult to know what you need to do. They saw to our every need. Our mother had been sick for some time and they did such a wonderful job that she looked like our mother again..we appreciate your services and kindness. God Bless.
