Selvin Monroe Pressnell

Mr. Selvin Monroe Pressnell, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at his residence. He was born December 21, 1935, in Limestone County, to Stacy and Vera King Pressnell. Funeral Services will be Friday, July 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Visitation for Mr. Pressnell will be Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery with David Cox, Mike Pressnell and Phillip Pressnell officiating. Mr. Pressnell was a member of Market Street Church of Christ, and a United States Army Veteran. He was retired from Army Missle Command. Proceeded in death by his parents, Stacy and Vera Pressnell and his son, Mark Pressnell. Mr. Pressnell is survived by his wife, Yvonne M. Pressnell of Athens; two sons, Mike Pressnell and wife Freida of Anderson, AL. and Phillip Pressnell and wife, Cindy also of Anderson; one daughter, Susan Chittam and husband Davy of Athens; four sisters, Deanie Britton of Athens, Robbie Robertson and husband Fred of Athens; Martha Pyron and husband Johnny of Elkmont and Kay Bates and husband Don of Athens; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dustin Pressnell, Logan Pressnell, Ethan Pressnell, Brandon Wallace, Davy Chittam and Shane Byrd.
