Randall Embury Goble
May 18, 1957 - March 15, 2022
Randall Embury Goble, 5/18/1957 to 3/15/2022, was born in Miami, FL, to Robert "Bob" and Marilynn Goble. Randy or "Goble" as he was known to all, spent his life fishing, hunting, or playing in the swamps of Florida. Goble enjoyed the outdoors almost as much as he enjoyed fried chicken. He traveled to Texas in 2007 where he hunted deer, lived off the land, and spent time with family. Goble had many talents- carpentry, painting, storytelling, or anything he put his mind to. He was a jack of all trades and would lend a hand whenever he could. He was reunited by social media with a long-lost love, Laura Votrobek, and moved to Alabama to make her his wife July 2016. Goble was a member of the Cowboy Church of Limestone County and was baptized again in July 2019. Goble passed at home surrounded by love. He is survived by his dog Jack; wife Laura Votrobek-Goble of Elkmont, AL.; parents Bob and Marilynn Goble of Era, Texas; siblings Penny (Wayne) Twiner of Era, Texas, and Jane (Randy) McCurley of San Antonio, Texas; and children Brandy Goble, Travis Goble, and Cody Goble, all of Florida; along with many grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a future date at the Cowboy Church of Limestone County. Now, may this poor cracker rest in peace. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Cowboy Church of Limestone County located at 26155 Thach Road, Athens, AL 35613 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the UAB Department of Neurosurgery for Dr. James Markert's Research, ATTN: Jennifer Philpot, UAB Gift Records AB 1230, 1720 2nd Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35294-0112
