Mildred “Millie” Woods, 95 of Athens, passed away on Friday, February 4th, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Woods was born on September 17th, 1926, to L.G. and Jennie Ingle Lambert. Mrs. Woods is survived by her son Jeff Woods (Debbie); daughter Paula Woods; grandchildren Laura Lostetter (Pete), Joseph Corser, Sam Corser, Courtney Woods, and Monica Cherry (Matt); and great-grandchildren Felix Lostetter and Phin Lostetter. Preceded in death by her parents; and husband Paul Woods. As a preacher’s wife, she was her husband’s strongest supporter, both morally and otherwise in all aspects of their lives together, She loved reading and studying her Bible and was very knowledgeable in God’s Word. A memorial service for Mr. and Mrs. Woods will be Friday, February 18th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Allen Whitesitt officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
