Mary Jane Weatherford

Mary Jane Weatherford, 92, of Leggtown, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, at the home of her son Michael Weatherford. Her sweet soul and humble spirit is now at home with her savior. Mary Jane and her husband Kenneth were farmers in the Leggtown community for over 65 years. They lived on her great grandfather, Ed Legg's farm, living in the same house for over 75 years. She was a longtime member of the Leggtown church of Christ. The funeral service will be Monday, February 27, 2012I at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Legg Cemetery. Greg Wood, Stan Leopard, and Jim Hays will be officiating. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Weatherford; parents Will and Myrtle Allen Bee; brothers, Harold and Julian Bee. Survivors include her son, Michael Weatherford and wife Jenny of Athens. Grand children, Julie Wood and husband Greg, Christy Leopard and husband Stan, David Weatherford and wife Julie, Daniel Weatherford and wife Nicole. Also, eight great grandchildren, Mason Weatherford, Lindsay and Ashley Wood, Ben and Seth Leopard, Macy, Heidi, and Clark Weatherford. Pall Bearers will be David Weatherford, Daniel Weatherford, Roger Elliott, Phillip Fleming, Leslie Bagsby, and Stan Leopard. In lieu of flowers, please send donation in her memory to Hospice of Limestone County or Athens Bible School.
