Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Coggins passed away on June 2, 2010 at her residence in Athens, AL. The funeral service for Mrs. Coggins will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Warren Glassand Kasey Harbin will be officiating. Interment to be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Coggins was born on August 21, 1923 In Limestone County, AL, to Erric Holt and Erma Hood Holt. She attended Market Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Coggins was retired from Athens City School System as Lunchroom Manager. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Shorty) Coggins; parents, Erric and Erma Hood Holt; brothers, Walt Holt and Alvin Holt; and, a sister, Virginia Orr. Mrs. Coggins is survived by three sons: Bobby Coggins, Athens; Jimmy Coggins of Decatur; and, Billy Coggins and wife, Sharon of Huntsville; one brother, Billy Holt and wife Maxine of Nashville, TN. Grandchildren: Keith Coggins, Pierre Coggins and wife Ann, Kathy Day, Jamie Coggins and wife, Erin, Chris Coggins, Beth Coggins, and Justin Coggins. Four Great-Grandchildren: Hunter Day, Kaitlyn Day, Olivia Coggins, and Seth Coggins. Pallbearers: Pierre Coggins, Jamie Coggins, Chris Coggins, Justin Coggins, Hunter Day and Bill Tribble.
