Martha Brackeen Reece

Martha Brackeen Reece, 83 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Reece was born on February 7th, 1939, to Charles and Margaret Eubanks Brackeen. Mrs. Reece is survived by her daughter Sherry Schrimsher; son Terry Reece (Jean); daughter Ramona Foster (Barry); grandchildren Liza Moss (Tommy), Luke Schrimsher (Becky), Adam Reece (Shelly), Jacob Schrimsher (Bailee), Jessica Ward (Jerry), and Hannah Howard (Ryan); and great-grandchildren Ethan Reece, Brooks Schrimsher, Evan Reece, Thomas Moss, Ledger Schrimsher, Jackson Ward, Jewel Moss, Lydia Howard, Barrett Ward, Salem Schrimsher, and Liam Howard. Preceded in death by her parents; husband James Milburn Reece; son-in-law Rick Schrimsher; infant sons Tony Wade and Victor Lynn Reece; and sister Nancy Bullington. A graveside service for Mrs. Reece will be Saturday, April 30th, 2022, at 1:30pm at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Burt Wilson and Dr. Rick Craft officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Hospice of Limestone County or the Alzheimer’s Association.
