Martha Ann Manwarring, 76 of Elkmont, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Manwarring was born on October 28th, 1945, to Buford Sampson Dobbs and Martha Marie Herzig Dobbs. Mrs. Manwarring is survived by her children Shelia Pettus of Florence, Melissa Dilworth (Thomas), of Southaven, Mississippi, Michael Simpson of Elkmont, and Christopher Simpson (Cindy) of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren Amanda Howard, Bradley Monroe, Brian Monroe, Richard Bates IV, Hayden Dilworth, and Tristan Simpson; 8 great-grandchildren; mother Martha M. Dobbs of Elkmont; brother Paul A. Dobbs, Sr. (Deborah) of Elkmont; and fiancé James Hooper of Athens. Preceded in death by her fatherBuford S. Dobbs; husband Gary Manwarring; and granddaughter Emily Ann Bates. A graveside service for Mrs. Manwarring will be Friday, February 25th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper, AL, with Daniel Ridinger officiating. Mrs. Manwarring enjoyed arranging flower. And she dearly loved her family.
