Maria Denise Etter-Collins, 66 of Athens, passed away on Monday, March 28th, 2022, at her residence. Denise was born on May 16th, 1955, to Don and Dorothy Etter. Denise was a loving mother, sister, wife and friend to many. She was a hippie at heart and had a great love for her husband, good music and her puppy dogs. Her positive attitude and grace, even in the face of uncertainty will never be forgotten. Denise is survived by her husband Charles Collins; children Travis Cosby, Justin Spence, and Jessie Spence; parents Don and Pauline Etter; siblings Viki Juzwiak and Steve Childress; many step children and adopted children whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Etter and siblings Jeffery and Don Etter. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday April 2, 2022 honoring her life and the many lives that she touched.
