Mrs. Lois Louise Clay Benge Age 88 Lois Louise Clay Benge of Athens, AL passed away on May 19, 2010 at the Limestone Health Facility. The funeral service for Mrs. Benge will be held on Sat, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 am in Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Greg Chandler and Bud White officiating. Interment to be in Athens City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Benge was born on July 6, 1921 to George Pearl Clay and Nora Lee Baxter Clay Hardaway in Giles County, TN. Mrs. Benge worked as a cashier for L & S Grocery Star for 47 years. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Benge, parents, George Clay and Nora Lee Baxter Clay Hardaway. Mrs. Benge is survived by: son: Steve Benge and wife, Willodean of Athens, AL; Brothers: Elmer D. Clay and wife, Margie of Athens, AL, Odell Hardaway of Athens, AL. Grandchildren: Zachery Benge and friend Monica of Athens, AL; Adam Benge and wife, Jennifer of Huntsville, AL. Several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Jimmy Clay, Sherwood Clay, David Hardaway, Mark Hardaway, Zack Benge, Adam Benge, Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Smith, R.O. Chandler
