James "Jimmy" Edward Craig

James “Jimmy” Edward Craig, 84, of Lester, died Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Craig was born on September 3rd, 1937, to Grady G. and Ella Lee Craig. Mr. Craig is survived by his wife Judy Craig; sons Mark Craig, Jerry Craig (Michelle) and Scott Craig (Dawn); grandchildren Silvia Craig Vaughn (Jameson), Trey Craig, and Ashley Craig, nephew, and several nieces and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents Grady and Ella Craig; and brothers Gurlin Craig and Grady Paul Craig. Visitation will be Monday, January 31st, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services for Mr. Craig will be Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Church of Christ, with Buc Chumbley officiating. His body will lie in-state in the church building from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers Tim Craig, Miles Craig, Mike Presnell, and Tim Ham. Mr. Craig loved bowling and golfing. He enjoyed cutting yards for the public. He also did the upkeeping of New Salem Cemetery for many years.
