Houston Franklin Waddell, 84 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Waddell was born on October 21st, 1937, to Orville and Nellie Reeves Waddell. Mr. Waddell is survived by his daughter Tammy Waddell; sons William Franklin “Frankie” Waddell (Sheree) and Johnny Waddell (Nicole); 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother Royce Waddell; sisters Peggy Moss (Jimmy) and Frances Waddell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Alice Waddell; son Douglas Waddell; brothers Doyce Waddell and Orville Waddell, Jr.; and sister Jean Bolin Flanagan. A graveside service for Mr. Waddell will be Friday, March 18th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Higgins Cemetery, with Rick Henson and Albert Haraway officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00am-1:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
