One brother, Elmer (Pud) Clay; "and a host of family and friends. Daddy was "semi-retired" from his plumbing and electrical career that lasted over 50 years and covered all of Limestone County, parts of Lauderdale and Madison Counties also. The last few years, he was our "shadow," his health didn't allow him to physically help us, however, with our hands and his knowledge together, we could always resolved the problem, and yours too if you asked. Daddy was also an "honorary deputy sheriff' for Sheriff Blakely, one of the first Sheriff Blakely appointed almost 30 years ago. Above all, Daddy was a devoted husband and father of four, he never missed a day of work, regardless of the weather, it didn't get too cold, hot, dry, or wet. After working all day, he'd come home for "supper" and then go out on a "service call or two," today it'd be known as his "second" job that's how he provided for his family; we weren't rich with lots of money, but we sure were rich in unconditional love and support from our Mother and Daddy. They never missed anything us children were involved in. Pallbearers will be Pete Hardaway, Mark Hardaway, Cameron Parker, Hershel Parker, Wade Garner, and Carlos Hermosillo.
