Bobby “Wayne” Reyer, 86 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Reyer was born on May 27th, 1935, to Albert H. and Cora Staton Reyer. Mr. Reyer is survived by his wife, Anna Maurice Reyer; children Derrick (Lunetta) Reyer, Sonya (Derrell) Gatlin, and Gina Reyer; grandchildren Tommy (Ashley) Reyer, Matthew Reyer, Anna (Bruce) Howell, Aly (Adam) Chandler, Ashton (Stephanie) Gatlin, and Ashley (Aaron) Webb; and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Mr. Reyer will be Thursday, January 27th, 2022, at 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Daniel Tucker and Bob Watson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26th, from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Myers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Reyer, Matthew Reyer, Ashton Gatlin, Adam Chandler, Bruce Howell, and Derrell Gatlin. Mr. Reyer was a longtime elder at New Hope Church of Christ. He loved wood working, singing, and especially his family.
