The funeral service for Mr. A.D. Hogan, age 72 of Athens, AL will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, May 3, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. also at Limestone Chapel. Interment will be in Hastings Cemetery of Limestone County,with Bro. Jason Pylant and Bro. Bob White officiating. Mr. Hogan passed way on May 2, 2010 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Hogan was born on Sept. 27, 1937 to Ira Hogan and Elizabeth Bevels Hogan in Giles County, TN. He was a self-employed farmer and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ira and Elizabeth Hogan, and brother: James Hogan. He is survived by a brother, Edward Hogan and wife, Margaret of Athens, AL; sisters: Margie Sutterfield of Ohio; Josephine Jackson and husband, Charles of Athens, AL. Sister-in-Law: Maggie Hogan of Athens,and a host of nieces and nephews
