Patricia Ann Elmore Rollings

Patricia Ann Elmore Rollings, 76, of Knoxville, Tennessee flew on to her reward before dawn on Saturday, October 29th after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family at home. We are so thankful for God’s promises that we will see her again. Trish was born in the Spring of 1946 to Marvin and Mamie Rea Elmore in North Alabama. After graduating from Athens Bible School, she soon married David Rollings, son of A.J. and Alene Rollings of Athens. Trish and David went on to have four children, Aimee, Jesse, Jennie and Anna, in four different states as they moved all over the southeast with Norfolk Southern Railway. They settled in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1983 and enjoyed putting down permanent roots with the family at West End church of Christ where David has served as elder for 27 years. Their family grew as the children married adding three dear sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, 7 grandchildren, one granddaughter-in-law and two precious great-grandchildren. Trish provided a loving and nurturing home for all of the family, serving big Sunday suppers and hosting holidays and countless birthday parties for each family member. She made everyone who knew her feel loved and cared for, attentively meeting needs and filling hearts with her abounding love. David and Trish enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage together, serving one another and nurturing and leading their adoring family with all Christian humility and love. Trish was predeceased by her parents, Marvin and “Susie” Elmore, her beloved sister Peggy Nave and brother Randy Elmore. She is survived by her husband David Rollings, sister Brenda Brasher, sisters-in-law Judy Bradford (Jerry), Trisha Chavanne (Jean) and Martha Giardina, brother-in-law Ernest Nave, children Aimee Davis (Bob), Jesse Rollings (Tara), Jennie Pickens (Patrick) and Anna Blanton (Roger), 7 grandchildren, 1 grandchild-in-law, two great-grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews and 24 great-nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Athens City Cemetery on Monday, November 7th, at 11 am, with Mark Nave, her nephew, officiating. Arrangements by Limestone Chapel. A memorial service will be held at West End Church of Christ in Knoxville on Wednesday, November 9th, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Brother Jeremy Weekley, minister. Receiving line at 1:00 pm
