Linda Kay Johnson Frasier

Linda Kay Frasier, 61 of Athens, Alabama, entered to rest on Friday, March 1st, 2024, at Athens Hospital. She was born on July 26th, 1962, to parents Rufus Johnson and Robbie Lee Johnson. Mrs. Frasier is survived by her husband Chris Frasier; her brother Allen Johnson (Karen); her children Brittany Williams (Stephen), Lauren Hathcote (Terrell), & Elisabeth Morris (Seth); step-children Christina Guignon (Mike), Jefferey Frasier (Katie), & Arron Frasier (Shayna); her grandchildren Hailee Williams, Reagan Hathcote, Maddilyn Williams, Kinsleigh Morris, Kamden Rice, & Zylah Morris; her step-grandchildren Nathan Frasier, Grayson Frasier, Eliza Frasier, Ian Frasier, & Rocky Guignon; her nephew Luke Johnson (Holland); and great-niece Hattie Jo Johnson. Linda is preceded in death by her parents Rufus Johnson and Robbie Lee Johnson. Linda Johnson Fraiser was a loving wife, mother, sister, Meme, and friend to many. A Christian woman that never waivered in her faith, the definition of a sinner saved by grace. Life knocked her down a few times, but she fought her way back with a strength that very few people will ever know. She never let the struggles she endured make her angry, instead she showed empathy to everyone. She was loving and kind, always making sure people knew that she cared for them. Professionally, she cared for people at their lowest in her work at Decatur West. She was loved by her coworkers for her sense of humor. Personally, she always had something for her girls that she thought we might enjoy and loved bringing her grandkids treats as well, always sure to spend every moment she could with them. We are so grateful she met and was able to spend some of the best years of her life with her husband, Chris. She kept up with anyone who was going through a hard time and was the first to send a kind word, card or love to anyone that needed it. She was her happiest spending time with Chris, her family, crafting, reading, and shopping at the local Dollar General store. She loved her makeup and couldn't leave the house without it, most importantly her lipstick. A proud and active member of Berea Baptist Church, she loved her church family, singing in the choir and serving in the nursery and anywhere else she was needed. After she left this earth, I'm certain Jesus and all the people she loved along the way that went before her were waiting to welcome her to Heaven. That is where our comfort lies. We will forever be grateful to the staff at Athens-Limestone Hospital ICU for caring for her, keeping her as comfortable as possible and loving us through this most difficult time. The nurses in the room with us called a coworker that had been with us during her stay and he stopped what he was doing to say the most beautiful prayer over her. When that prayer was over and he said amen, her heart stopped beating and she went to heaven. Visitation for Linda will be held Tuesday March 5th, 2024, at Limestone Chapel Funeral home from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral service will be Wednesday March 6th, 2024, at Berea Baptist Church at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Berea Baptist Early Learning Academy.
